This is a high detail model with materials not suitable for quick renders.

The ZBrush model has been exported as a low resolution obj file and imported into blender. The objects have been UV mapped and included in the blend are colour, normal and displacement maps (2048 x 2048). Download the blend here (3.9MB).

The 9th doctor has now had the modelling completed and textured. The texturing is not great but I think works. I've also posed the model and added a sonic screwdriver prop. All the modelling and texturing was in ZBrush. I now need to figure out how I can transfer it to blender with UVs for the shader, displacement and normal maps. It currently consists of 31.5 million polys. I think I made it difficult for myself just using ZBrush, next time I'll use ZBrush and blender together.

I usually use blender for 3d modelling but this is the first project where I’ve started using just ZBrush for making the base mesh to final texturing. I’m using this as a project to learn how to use ZBrush so it’s going to be a slow process. It’s currently just a work in progress but I’m aiming this to be the basis for future Doctor Who characters.
